A broken stone depiction of an ancient goddess representing the Religion category of the silent philosopher

Religion…

A word that stirs emotions as much as it stirs souls.

It’s been used to heal and to wound.

To liberate and to oppress.

To bring humanity closer to the divine, and sometimes, to tear it apart.

On Sundays, we dare to ask:

What is religion, really?

Beneath the temples, the symbols, the doctrines, the rituals, the wars, what truth remains?

This category is not here to preach. It’s here to explore.

We’ll go back, not just to churches, mosques, temples, and synagogues, but to ancient voices buried in sand and silence:

  • To Gnostic gospels hidden for centuries.
  • To feminine wisdom edited out of holy books.
  • To mystical traditions that united East and West long before theology built walls between them.
  • We’ll ask why some texts were canonized and others erased.
  • Why some voices, especially women’s, were labeled heretical while others were exalted.
  • We’ll look at the spiritual philosophies of the past not as dogma, but as clues to deeper human truths.

Whether you’re a believer, a skeptic, a seeker, or somewhere in between, this is your space to think freely. To question boldly. To search without shame.

Sundays at The Silent Philosopher are not just for religion. They’re for what lies beneath religion…

The yearning for transcendence. The ache for meaning. The quiet, personal search for something more, and let’s be frank…

The fear of death and “what dreams may come,” if any.
